We discovered that our great Eurail pass does not cover England transportation so we had to pay £50 each to get to Paris. We didn't know it at the time (but discovered later) that there are flights cheaper than this... very disappointing. But we came here to spend money so it's okay.
We arrived in Paris around 9pm and we were hoping to be able to find a place to stay but things worked out differently. When we arrived we found out that all the places listed in our guide book that cost less than 100euros were all full. Luckily we acquired "alternate accomodation".
We also discovered that people in Europe are much more open such as with PDAs (public displays of affection), and some take it a bit too far. Also public urination is common. We were witness to both. Double ewww.
